A full-scale event coverage project combining photography, video, drone work, and high-volume headshot delivery for Brandon University Faculty of Education’s annual orientation.
Context
Brandon University Faculty of Education brought Studio Nicole in to document their annual orientation, capturing both the live experience and creating promotional content for future student recruitment.
This marked the second consecutive year of coverage following a successful first collaboration.
Approach
This project required fast-paced coverage, real-time direction, and strong organization across a large campus event.
Alongside full event documentation, a high-volume headshot station was set up on-site. I directed every student through posing and flow, managing timing and consistency while working under significant time pressure.
Video coverage combined candid moments, drone footage, and recorded speech audio to build a cohesive narrative-driven highlight film.
Process
The day included 75+ student headshots, multi-location event coverage, drone operation, and full video production as the sole creative lead.
All content was captured with the final story in mind, ensuring photo and video worked together seamlessly in post-production.
Outcome
The final deliverables included a complete event gallery, professional student headshots, and a promotional highlight video used for recruitment and program marketing.
The Faculty was extremely pleased with the results, leading to continued collaboration for the following year’s orientation coverage.
