THE BUILD - Chamber Gala

A behind-the-scenes documentary-style film capturing the full setup and transformation of Brandon’s Annual Business Awards Gala.

Context

Brandon Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala is one of the city’s largest annual business events, bringing together staging, décor, audiovisual production, and live event coordination.

This project was created to document the full build process — showcasing everything that happens before guests arrive and the space is transformed into a finished gala environment.

Approach

Rather than a traditional event recap, this piece was designed as a behind-the-scenes commercial documentary focused on process and transformation.

Working under Three Point Studios, I developed a visual approach that combined candid coverage, time-lapse sequences, and structured interviews with key vendors to build a full narrative of the setup process.

Process

As the sole shooter and editor, I filmed across the entire setup day, capturing décor installation, staging, audiovisual setup, and vendor interviews.

Time-lapse cameras were placed in multiple locations throughout the venue, while additional handheld coverage and interviews were captured simultaneously in a fast-paced, active environment.

Outcome

The final deliverables included a three-minute documentary feature and a shorter promotional edit.

The films provide a dramatic, behind-the-scenes look at the scale and coordination behind one of Brandon’s largest annual events.
